The right candidate must have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. The ability to review complex prints and determine layout required to effectively verify print specifications. Must possess and continuously expand knowledge of various instruments such as optical comparators, contour readers, surface analyzers, etc. A strong working knowledge of coordinating measuring machines (CMM) and gage calibrations. The ability to work independently and with a team. Ability to inspect non-certified parts, materials or products for correctness to meet drawing and customer specifications. Must be able to record and maintain accurate information regarding the inspection results. Ability to collect and prepare data for entry to Inspection Records and Non-conforming Materials manually and electronically is required. Support situations questioning the quality of any parts, materials or products that do not comply with; or for use in manufacturing operations. Support machining operations to assist with first piece qualification. Understanding of PPAP requirements is preferred. Must be competent in written and verbal communication, mathematics, computer systems and human relation skills is needed. Must be organized, detail oriented and able to record, discuss customer complaints and encourage continuous improvements. A machining background and familiarity of ISO 9001 procedures is a plus.
Must be able to lift and move objects up to 35 lbs. without assistance and occasionally up to 75 lbs. following company safety protocol. Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
